Analysis of CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) in air
The WHO (World Health Organisation) recognises the evidence of coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) maintaining its infectious capacity in airborne, particularly when it is transmitted through airborne droplets and aerosols.
At the beginning of the outbreak, scientists thought the virus was spread mainly through droplets of saliva or mucus when people coughed or sneezed. However, researchers have concluded that coronavirus can persist in the air for a longer period and travel through smaller droplets.
From the laboratories of Tentamus Group, we make available to our customers the new analysis (PCR) of coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) in air samples. One of the objectives of these analyses is the early detection of possible COVID-19 outbreaks in populations as well as guaranteeing safe and virus-free environments.
What testing technique do we use?
The analysis process we have developed is very reliable because it is based on the RT-PCR technique, where the virus RNA is detected and, therefore, its specificity and level of sensitivity are maximum.
